- Our Story -

It all began in 1947 with one man and a dream.

We at Farmaggiano’s are dedicated to giving you as authentic of a meal as possible. When growing up in Venice, Italy, Alessandro Farmaggiano loved fine Italian pizza. When he was 24, he moved to Britain to pursue his dream of being a national carpet salesman. His business did exceptionally well, becoming known nationwide.

However, Alessandro was horrified that he could find nowhere any authentic, good-tasting pizza. So, he decided to do the nation a favour, and sell his renowned carpet business to a man named Frank, and start Farmaggiano’s, a truly authentic Italian restaurant.

His employees share his dream of sharing true Italian culture with the UK. They are all Italy-born, and trained by Alessandro himself. The head chef is a world-famous award-winning hyphen-using chef by the name of Massimo Bottura. All of the equipment, furniture, and wood used to construct the building come directly from Italy.
